Float therapy, also known as R.E.S.T (restricted environment stimulation therapy) or sensory deprivation is the practice of lying in a saltwater solution in a tank devoid of external stimulation. The saltwater solution is made up of 900-1000lbs of Epsom salt with water that is heated to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, body temperature. The high density of the Epsom salt solution allows your body to float effortlessly on the surface. This method yields many benefits like stress reduction, reduced pain and inflammation, muscle soreness and help with sleep.

Sensory deprivation is the removal of outside stimuli such as light, sound, and touch. The tank helps create an environment for deep relaxation by reducing overstimulation.
